Tracy Kidder is the winner of the Pulitzer Prize and author of Mountains Beyond Mountains, House, Among School Children, and Home Town. Come and hear this "master of the nonfiction narrative" (Baltimore Sun).

Silverman's first memoir, Because I Remember Terror, Father,
I Remember You, won the AWP award in nonfiction. Her second
memoir, Love Sick: One Woman's Journey Through Sexual Addiction is
under development for a Lifetime TV movie.
Michael Steinberg has published many essays, memoirs, and poems. He is the
editor of The Fourth Genre: Explorations in Nonfiction as well as
the Creative Nonfiction text, The Fourth Genre.
Stan West is an author, filmmaker, and innovator of "cross-platform reporting." He produced the documentary Diversity in Oak Park, and co-authored Profiles of Great African-Americans.
The publishing panel in Creative Nonfiction will feature editors from national literary magazines talking about what they look for when editing and publishing authors.
Author of Riding in Cars with Boys and Looking for Mary (or the Blessed Mother and Me), Beverly Donofrio's commentaries have aired on NPR. Riding in Cars with Boys was made into a Hollywood film.
A panel of journalists and nonfiction writers from newspapers and magazines will discuss the art of writing the profile.
Students from the Creative Nonfiction program of Columbia College Chicago will read from their work.
