South Loop Review, is the literary journal of creative nonfiction and photography.

We are looking for diverse voices and we welcome experimental forms of creative nonfiction. We welcome segmented essays, montaged essays, graphic memoir, short-form creative nonfiction, and narrative documentary photography.  The theme for this issue is “Transformations,” and we invite submissions which reflect the idea of transformation (change, transcendence, a shift from one state of being to another, etc.).

Writing Guidelines:
One copy of your work must be submitted in manuscript format (standard margins and spacing) and without headers/footers, except for pagination. Include your name and full contact information, including email address, on cover page only.

Image Guidelines:
Please submit 8” x 10” prints on photo paper. Images should be high resolution/high quality, suitable for scanning. Include your name and title of the image on the back of each photo. Full contact information must be included in a cover letter.
